Switzerland and Bulgaria sign the first bilateral implementation agreement under the second Swiss contribution

On 20 September 2022, the Swiss Ambassador Raymund Furrer and Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for European funds Atanas Pekanov signed the bilateral implementation agreement establishing the new Swiss-Bulgarian Cooperation Programme. In the light of the second Swiss contribution, Bulgaria is the first of the 15 EU Member States that is signing the bilateral implementation agreement. Switzerland and Bulgaria will collaborate on joint initiatives in a number of areas important for the Bulgarian development.

In the light of the second Swiss contribution, Switzerland and Bulgaria signed the first bilateral implementation agreement for the new Swiss-Bulgarian cooperation programme on 20 September 2022.
